noonan to karl rove assured them they would be in the white house by this time so they're understandably shock and distressed and poor speaker john boehner is hopelessly stuck in that stage. his is, of course, willful denial. a stubborn refusal to recognize reality are. but it is denial nonetheless. today, he dug in his heels. he refused to budge. he released a statement blaming the president for the impasse saying "we don't have time for the president to continue shifting the goalposts. we need to solve this problem." in fact, his approach all along has been to deny reality altogether. his plan is essentially a rehash of mitt romney's. closing loopholes to raise revenue and remember, mitt romney lost. and democrats of course, rightly are calling him out on it. representative sandra levin who released a statement yesterday saying that republicans "remain in a state of denial." well, here he is on monday, going even further. >> the republicans have a major decision to make. and that is essentially wh

analysts have been benched by cable executives. one of them is karl rove, who famously on election night tried to convince fox news-watching americans that mitt romney had not really lost ohio. that could not be. not when he, karl rove, had spent $390 million raised from conservative zillionaires to make sure that never happened. same goes for this guy. his name is dick morris. he not only said repeatedly and emphatically that mitt romney would win the election, he was the guy who said mitt romney would definitely win in a landslide. he has apparently been benched at fox news as well. that does not mean, however, that dick morris is taking a break. oh, no. at dickmorris.com today, you can learn about how president obama is moving forward on gun control. which given the politics around gun control would be kind of amazing if it were happening, right? but of course it is not happening. i mean dick morris says it is happening, but that is no reason to believe a thing is happening in this sane, sane world. complicating their on-arian list roles for the fox news channel, most mr. rove and mr.

point, karl rove, you know karl rove? he's chubby guy, a hulk hogan hair cut going on. he was demanding that his own network uncall the state of ohio for obama. megan kelly had to slap him across the face a few times to calm him down. things weren't so cheery at republican campaign headquarters. the crowd thinned, people started to leave and it got increasingly quiet. but towards the end, people even started -- people started untying their sweaters from around their necks and wearing them at the end of this thing. but this, the romney rally did provide an opportunity for a fun drinking game. it's called find the black person at the republican campaign headquarters. are you ready to play?
